WHAT DO WE WANT
The SemioLab seeks to create an interdisciplinary space for investigating the emerging role of semiotics in the humanities studies. The SemioLab wishes to cultivate an online and ongoing conversation that helps enrolled members explore how to bring semiotics into their own research, teaching, and professional plans and curricula.
OUR AIMS
The aim of the Semio Laboratory is to combine methodologies and good practices from different scientific fields within joint projects that will support study, preservation and distribution of all kinds of semiotics data, and supporting and promoting research in all disciplines.
In order to fulfill this aim, the SemioLab aims to develop and distribute technical skills and to integrate them in individual projects, access to special software tools, diffusion of know-how and experience through workshops, lectures, workshops and conferences and joint projects.
The Laboratory of Semiotic Research (SemioLab) provides educational, research and training assistance to basic and applied research in the discipline of Semiotics, particularly:
- Semiotics of text and image.
- Semiotics of cultural and social issues and practices (literature, translation, cinema, advertising, space, everyday activities).
- Educational semiotics (edusemiotics), educational legislation, school textbooks.
